#183 The University of Virginia, USA.


 The University of Virginia is a public research university located in Charlottesville, Virginia, United States, founded by Thomas Jefferson. Conceived by 1800 and established in 1819, it is the only university in the United States to be designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, an honor it shares with nearby Monticello. The University is one of the eight original Public Ivies.

#182 Golden Spike, USA.


Located west of the Brigham City, at Promontory Utah, the Golden Spike was driven on May 10, 1869 to celebrate the completion of the first transcontinental railroad.

#181 Nashville, USA.


Union Station opened on October 9, 1900 and for the next 75 years, it served as a thriving train terminal a bustling icon of Nashville culture and commerce. In recent years, it has been restored and converted to a beautiful luxury hotel.

#180 Verla, Finland.


Verla at Jaala, Kouvola, Finland, is a well preserved 19th century mill village and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. The first groundwood mill at Verla was founded in 1872 by Hugo Nauman but was destroyed by fire in 1876. A larger groundwood and board mill, founded in 1882 by Gottlieb Kreidl and Louis Haenel, continued to operate until 1964.
On the postcard we can see a Verla Mill Museum.

Kiev Pechersk Lavra or Kyiv Pechersk Lavra is a historic Orthodox Christian monastery in Kiev, Ukraine.  Together with the Saint-Sophia Cathedral, it is inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was named one of the Seven Wonders of Ukraine on August 21, 2007, based on voting by experts and the internet community.

#166 The St. Basil's Cathedral, Russia.


The Saint Basil's Cathedral in Moscow. It was the tallest building in Moscow until the completion of the Ivan the Great Bell Tower in 1600! The cathedral has been part of the Moscow Kremlin and Red Square UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990.

Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the USA was born February 12, 1809 near Hodgenville, Kentucky. At the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace national Historic Site this marble and granite memorial building contains a one-room 19th-century log cabin similiar to the one which Lincoln was born.

Mount St. Helens is an active stratovolcano located in Skamania County, Washington, in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It is 154 km south of Seattle, Washington and 80 km northeast of Portland, Oregon. Mount St.

The Hanseatic City of Lübeck is the second-largest city in Schleswig-Holstein, in northern Germany, and one of the major ports of Germany. It was for several centuries the "capital" of the Hanseatic League ("Queen of the Hanse") and because of its Brick Gothic architectural heritage is on UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites.

The bluebonnet became the Texas state flower in 1901. Part of the legume family, it blooms from March through May.

#145 Thousand Islands, Canada-USA.


The Thousand Islands is the name of an archipelago of islands that straddle the Canada-USA border in the Saint Lawrence River as it emerges from the northeast corner of Lake Ontario. They stretch for about 80 km downstream from Kingston, Ontario. The Canadian islands are in the province of Ontario. The U.S. islands are in the state of New York. The islands, which number 1,793 in all, range in size from over 40 square miles (100 km2) to smaller islands occupied by a single residence, to even smaller uninhabited outcroppings of rocks that are home to migratory waterfowl.
 On the postcard we can see Boldt Castle which is located on Heart Island (New York).

This postcard doesn't show Ukraine but I love a quote Margarita wrote on the postcard. 'Love is when you don't want to fall asleep because reality is better than dream'. Like it because it's so true. I wish I could be able to say that...

American Man's Museum's in Serra da Capivara National Park in Brazil. There's a collection of pieces found during archeological explorations carried out in the area of the Park.
